Honorees of Beatufilly Well Win Luncheon and our Presidents


The NAACP Henry County held it first Annual Women in the NAACP Luncheon and it was a huge success.


Under the theme “Beautifully Well – A Pastel Inspired Call to Wellness for Black Women,” we gathered in sisterhood, in strength, and in truth. We honored those who serve our community with health initatives, we learned, we poured into one another, and most importantly—we reminded ourselves that our wellness is not optional… it is necessary.

To our speakers, honorees, and our phenomenal keynote, Representative Lucy McBath, @replucymcbath  thank you for your courage, your voice, and your unwavering commitment to our communities.


We were proud to celebrate two phenomenal trailblazers- Judge Holly W. Veal – Recipient of the Elaine R. Jones Award Named in honor of Elaine R. Jones, the first woman to lead the NAACP Legal Defense Fund, this award recognizes excellence in justice and civil rights. Judge Veal made history as the first African American and first woman to serve as a Superior Court Judge in Henry County’s Flint Judicial Circuit.


 Our second honoree was Dr. Dionne Middlebrooks – Recipient of the Rebecca Lee Crumpler Award. Named in honor of Rebecca Lee Crumpler, the first Black woman physician in the United States, this award celebrates leaders in health and wellness. Dr. Middlebrooks is the owner of Reign Physical Therapy and Wellness and a board-certified specialist advancing care for women, including pelvic health and postpartum wellness.
